General terms and conditions of the company Camping Resort Zugspitze GmbH
- Conclusion of the Contract
With your registration, you make a binding offer to the landlord to enter into a rental contract. This may be done in writing, verbally, by phone or by means of electronic data transmission. For the camping site, the contract will become binding if it was confirmed in writing by the company Camping Resort Zugspitze GmbH. Should the content of the travel confirmation differ from the content of the registration/booking, we will be bound to this new offer for 10 days. The contract shall take effect on the basis of this new offer you declare to us within this period that you accept it. If the registration is performed upon arrival, the contract will become binding if the Camping Resort Zugspitze GmbH has assigned you a pitch at the camping site Grainau and your data were collected at the reception desk. Upon arrival, please always present your ID card or passport to the reception staff.
- Prices, Payment, Minimum Stay and Cancellation
For the charges, please see our respectively valid pricelist. They shall be considered as firmly agreed upon. The charges are due for payment on the day of departure. In order to guarantee the reservation, a partial amount of 50 EURO per pitch/per barrel and 100 EURO per mountain cabin has to be paid within one week upon receipt of the reservation confirmation.
The following cost lump sums are charged in case of a cancellation:
The cancellation is free of charge until 16 days before the start of the contract.
The reservation fee will forfeit 15 to 5 days before the start of the contract.
The full fee according to the reservation confirmation has to be paid 4 days before the start of the contract.
If the pitch is not occupied at 9 a.m. one day after the agreed upon commencement of the contract and if no agreements regarding a later occupation were made, then the campsite management is entitled to use and assign the pitch otherwise. In case a booked pitch should, due to adverse circumstances, not be available on time, then the renter shall grant a grace period until 6 p.m. In case the pitch should still not be available after this grace period, we, as the landlords will provide a substitute pitch of at least the same category. If you are not satisfied with this substitute pitch you are entitled to cancel the contract free of charge.
Camping discounts: Please give us timely notice respectively present your membership card upon arrival if you want to claim any discount. Getting a discount retroactively is unfortunately not possible.
Package deals and special offers: Discounts will not be granted on package deals and special offers. A subsequent change in booking from a package deal to another price category and vice versa is not possible. The total amount of the used package deal shall incur even in case of an early departure.
Special arrangement for reservation during the festive season (20.12.-06.01.):
Applicable during the festive season is a minimum stay of four nights (pitches and barrels) respectively 7 nights (mountain cabins). An advance payment in the amount of the first 4 nights shall be payable upon receipt of the reservation confirmation. In case this payment should not be made, the landlord reserves the right to cancel the reservation. The following cost lump sums will be charged in case of a cancellation by the renter:
8 to 4 days before the commencement of the contract, the advance payment shall be forfeited as well as in case of an early departure.
The full fee according to the reservation confirmation shall be payable 4 days until the commencement of the contract.
- Early departure
In case of an early departure, another daily fee shall be payable in addition to the fees already incurred for the actual period of use of the pitch. A pitch becoming free due to an early departure may be used and assigned otherwise by the campsite management.
- Extension of the stay
If you want to extend your stay beyond the agreement concluded, so please notify our reception desk of your desire at least two days in advance. We will gladly meet this desire and extend the contract according to our possibilities of an extension is possible.
- Campsite regulations
The tenant and its fellow travelers have to comply with the posted campsite regulations. In case of gross and repeated violations, the landlord shall be entitled to terminate the lease contract without issuing a prior warning, unless a written agreement to the contrary was reached between the parties. In case of a termination without notice, you shall not be entitled to claim for a proportionate reimbursement respectively to a remission of the fee incurred for the period agreed upon in the contract; this shall also apply to the annual fee of long-term pitches/sites.
- Visitors
Please register visitors (day visitors and overnight guests) at the reception. For the fee for visitors, please see our respectively valid pricelist. Please inform your guests about the campsite regulations. The visitors shall park their vehicles in a parking lot outside the campsite.
- Liability
Every guest undertakes to treat the pitch and the facilities of the camping site with care. The renter shall be liable for damages to the camping site and facilities of the camping site if they were caused by the renter or his/her fellow travelers or visitors.
- Arrival and departure
The booked pitch is available on the day of arrival from 3 p.m. on (if the pitch is free, also at an earlier time) and has to be handed over until 11 a.m. at the latest on the day of departure.
- Severability clause
In case parts of those general terms and conditions should contradict applicable or future law, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
- Place of jurisdiction and place of performance
The exclusive place of jurisdiction and place of performance for both parties shall be the respectively competent Local Court of the registered office of Camping Resort Zugspitze GmbH.
